AliMed is quality-cast expanded polyurethane foam that has the feel and resilience of firm latex foam but meets the stringent CAL 117 fire retardance standard.

Cutout provides sacral pressure relief and functions in conjunction with a modest front to back slope--mild wedge encourages anterior pelvic tilt. User is comfortably encouraged to sit in the best ergonomic position.

Sculpted top matches leg contours for better pressure distribution. Modest mounding in the center distal edge of the cushion encourages abduction. A sloped distal-top-edge helps prohibit abrupt pressure transitions at the cushion edge.

Rocker wedge built into the distal bottom edge of the cushion. This patent pending feature not only reinforces the top slope but tends to naturally rotate the cushion forward when a user is leaving the chair – a great aid during transfers.

Loose-fitting cover is waterproof, bacteriostatic, ripstop nylon. Loose fit prevents compromise of pressure distribution caused by fabric hammocking.

Choose flat bottom for use with sling or flat sitting surface, such as a drop seat or AliMed's patented Solid Seat Insert bottom for use with a sling seat. Choose Firm for users heavier than 140 lbs, Soft for lighter users.
