Jeri Logemann is the author of several books and is a professor of otolaryngology-head & neck surgery and neurology, Ralph and Jean Sundin professor in communication sciences and disorders at NorthWestern University. Logemann developed the modified barium swallow test, a less stressful alternative to a typical radiographic study of swallowing, which encourages patient participation and allows for treatment of swallowing problems in the x-ray room. Logemann's research interests include the management of voice disorders, normal swallowing physiology, the assessment and treatment of speech and swallowing dysfunction in treated head and neck cancer patients and neurologically-impaired individuals.
