Additional Details

Arm weight alone can contribute to painful subluxation during the rehabilitation of conditions such as CVA, post-humeral fracture, brachial plexus injury, and shoulder-girdle weakness/flaccidity. Conventional slings lack the ability to adequately offload the humeral joint while retaining ROM and prevent potential contracture. The AliMed Hemi-Shoulder Sling uses a shoulder saddle to offload the shoulder and humeral joint subluxing forces and transfer the weight of the arm to the scapula while maintaining full ROM and preventing potential contracture. The gusseted inside panel fully adjusts to fluctuations in edema and aids with donning/doffing while the three adjustable fixation straps allow for correction of muscle imbalance and internal or external rotation as needed. Biceps-triceps belly-band locks cuff in place for security. Wear over or under clothing.

Saddle: High-density polyethylene and Plastazote foam • Cuff: Polyester foam laminated to hook-receptive polyester fabric • Adjustable hook-and-loop straps

Sizing: Measure arm circumference at widest point of bicep. Round up if between sizes.

The uses a shoulder saddle to offload the shoulder and humeral joint subluxing forces and transfer the weight of the arm to the scapula. The fully adjustable elastic cuff with three-point fixation straps easily adjusts and allow full ROM while still maintaining stability and distraction. Fits a variety of patients and stages of rehabilitation.
