Offering a dramatically reduced set-up time, SecureFit is uniquely contoured to cradle patient’s natural curvature, and the independent gel-encased cubes deliver maximum pressure redistribution and support, with minimal slipping. Stabilizer Wedges and Posts securely lock the TPS onto the surgical table, while Wedge Pads minimize the incidence of poor blood flow to the shoulder. In addition, design enables full access to the abdomen and chest wall. Secure Fit TPS is a reusable system that fits all standard-width tables. It includes TPS arm supports and toboggans to simplify IV access. Best suited for the following procedures: Laparoscopic, Open and Robotic where Trendelenburg is used.

When the patient is placed in Trendelenburg, the upper back support follows the curve of the back over the patient’s scapula. This helps to distribute the pressure from body weight over a larger area on both sides and prevents high focal pressures over the shoulders. The upper back supports cover all the way from tip of scapula to the acromion process but not the acromioclavicular joint which helps to prevent pressure transduction to the joint and subsequent compression of the nerve tracts traveling under it.
